Dr. Eva Polverino is a pulmonologist and researcher with a distinguished career. Graduated in Naples and specialized in Pisa, she completed her PhD in Barcelona in 2003. Currently, she directs the "Respiratory Infections" section at the European Respiratory Society and is a global leader in bronchiectasis.

She is actively involved in the fight against antibiotic resistance and has contributed to European projects for the control of multi-resistant infections. A pioneer in respiratory physiotherapy in Spain, she has published numerous scientific papers on the subject.

As head of the outpatient clinic for the follow-up of community-acquired pneumonia in Barcelona for almost 10 years, she has over 100 scientific publications and participates in international conferences. She is the medical director of the Italian Medical Center in Barcelona and a medical advisor to the Italian Consulate.

She offers medical consultations for acute and chronic respiratory infections, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, COPD, and asthma. Her expertise is a reference point in the field of pulmonology.

Dr. Ilaria Bianchi, specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics, graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Florence. She completed her specialization and received training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Philadelphia, United States, and obtained a doctorate in fetal ultrasound from the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, participating in international clinical studies and research.

With a career dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological and obstetric diseases, she has collaborated on research with the Hospital Clinic and the Hospital de Bellvitge in Barcelona. She was the head of Gynecology at the Hospital de San Celoni and coordinator of the ASSIR Delta de Llobregat.

Currently, she practices as a general gynecologist at ASSIR Eixample-izquierdo in Barcelona and at the ItaCa Medical Center, distinguishing herself as a reference point in the field of high-risk obstetrics. She offers consultations in Spanish, Italian, English, and Catalan.

Her areas of interest include gynecological pathologies, benign surgery (hysteroscopy, conization, laparoscopy), and gynecological and obstetric ultrasounds. In obstetrics, she specializes in both physiological and high-risk pregnancies. She is known for her integrated and multilingual approach to medical care.

Dr. Laura Garriga Grimau graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at the Universitat de Barcelona, with clinical experience acquired at the Hospital Clínic.

She specialized in Pediatrics, completing her training through the MIR program at the Parc de Salut Mar (Hospital del Mar, Barcelona). Furthermore, she obtained the qualification of Pediatric Pulmonologist after completing the Master's in Pediatric Pulmonology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, based at the Hospital Vall d’Hebron. Currently, Dr. Laura Garriga Grimau holds a doctorate in Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, with particular expertise in the field of Pediatric Pulmonology, acquired through her clinical experience and academic training at the Hospital Vall d’Hebron.

Dr. Vincenzo Oliva is an Italian clinical psychiatrist and researcher based in Barcelona,
with a career focused on the treatment of mood and psychotic disorders.

He graduated with honors and distinctionin Medicine from the University of Naples Federico II, and completed his specialization in Psychiatry with honorsat the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna. He is currently a PhD candidate in Medicine and Translational Researchat the University of Barcelonaand works as an emergency psychiatristin the Bipolar and Depressive Disorders Unit.

He is the author of numerous scientific publicationsand has received several international awardsfor his research work. His studies have contributed to defining the best treatments for psychotic depression, with a network meta-analysis published in The Lancet Psychiatry, and he actively participates in international scientific conferences.

Alongside his research, he is an experienced clinicianspecializing in the management of patients with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and psychosis. He has extensive experience in both hospital and outpatient settingsand adopts a personalized approachbased on the latest scientific evidence.

At the Italian Medical Center of Barcelona, Dr. Oliva offers psychiatric consultationsfor the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, and other psychiatric conditions, with the goal of improving his patients’ quality of life.

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Milan, Italy, I completed my clinical training at renowned hospitals in Milan such as San Donato, Sacco, and the Policlinico of Milan. Subsequently, I obtained a Specialization Degree in Pulmonology from the University of Brescia, Italy, after completing my residency at the Ospedale di Circolo – Fondazione Macchi in Varese.

My professional experience includes working as a pulmonologist in both inpatient and outpatient settings at the same hospital. Since March 2021, I have held the position of Junior Researcher and Clinical Pulmonologist at the Adult Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, and Immunodeficiency Unit of Vall d'Hebron University Hospital. During my tenure, I have developed a strong expertise in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory infectious diseases, both from a clinical and research perspective.

Since 2018, I have proudly been a junior collaborator of the EMBARC network (European Multicentre Bronchiectasis Audit and Research Collaboration), actively contributing to research in the field of bronchiectasis.

Furthermore, I am a member of the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR) and the European Respiratory Society (ERS), maintaining a steadfast commitment to my professional development and the advancement of respiratory medicine.
